Help Center

Welcome to the OSRS DMM Tracker Help Center. Find answers to common questions and learn how to maximize your gold-making potential in Deadman Mode.

How do I use the Profit Leaderboard?

The Profit Leaderboard shows the top 20 items with the highest profit margins in DMM. Here's how to use it:

  1. Look at the "Buy Price (Low)" column - this is the price to place your buy offer
  2. Look at the "Sell Price (High)" column - this is the price to place your sell offer
  3. The "Margin" column shows your potential profit per item
  4. Click "Refresh" to get the latest prices
What do the swap rates mean?

The swap rate (e.g., "1M DMM = 1.25M OSRS") shows the current exchange rate between Deadman Mode gold and regular OSRS gold.

This is useful if you want to understand the real-world value of your DMM earnings or if you're considering swapping gold between game modes.

How do I flip items for profit?

Flipping is the process of buying items low and selling them high. Here's a basic guide:

  1. Find an item with a good margin on our leaderboard (higher = better)
  2. Go to the Grand Exchange in-game
  3. Place a buy offer at or slightly above the "Low" price
  4. Once bought, place a sell offer at or slightly below the "High" price
  5. Wait for your offer to complete - the difference is your profit!

Tip: Start with items that have high trading volume for faster sales.

Why are some items filtered out?

We automatically filter items to show only the most profitable opportunities:

  • Margin > 50,000 GP: Items with lower margins aren't worth the time
  • Traded in last hour: Ensures the prices are current and the item is actively traded

This helps you focus on items that can actually make you money.

How often is the data updated?

The tracker automatically refreshes every 5 minutes. You can also click the "Refresh" button to manually update at any time.

The data comes from the official RuneScape Wiki API, which tracks real Grand Exchange transactions in near real-time.

Is this tracker safe and legit?

Yes, absolutely! Here's why:

  • We only use official, publicly available data from the RuneScape Wiki API
  • No login or personal information required
  • All processing happens in your browser - we don't store anything
  • We don't require any game account access or credentials
What happens when I die in DMM?

Death in Deadman Mode is punishing. You will lose:

  • The 10 most valuable stacks of items from your bank (Bank Key)
  • All items in your inventory and equipment
  • Significant experience in unprotected skills

However, items stored in your Safe Deposit Box and items currently listed in the Grand Exchange are safe.

How does the Safe Deposit Box work?

You can store up to 10 single items (not stacks) in the Safe Deposit Box found in banks. These items are never lost on death.

Strategy: Always store your most valuable gear (e.g., Ancient Staff, Mystic Top, Whip) here when not using them. You cannot store stacks of coins or runes here.

When do Breaches spawn?

Breaches typically spawn every few hours (check in-game timer). During a Breach, powerful bosses spawn in specific regions.

This is the best time to buy supplies (before) and sell gear (after), as prices fluctuate wildly around these events.

Is swapping gold allowed?

Yes, swapping gold between Deadman Mode and OSRS (07) is generally allowed by Jagex, provided no RWT (Real World Trading) is involved.

Always use reputable swappers (check for ranks in major discords) to avoid getting scammed. We track the average swap rates to help you know if you're getting a fair deal.

How do I interpret the "High Volume" indicator?

High volume items (like Sharks or Runes) are safer to flip because they sell instantly. Low volume items (like 3rd Age) have bigger margins but might take days to sell.

For beginners, we recommend sticking to items with at least 1,000 daily trades to ensure you don't get stuck with stock.
